TL;DR
Architect and scale real-time data streaming pipelines for Bazaarvoice's next-generation platform.
- •Bazaarvoice is building its next-generation Data Enrichment Platform and seeks a Staff Software Engineer to help scale its real-time data streaming capabilities.
- •This role is crucial for architecting high-throughput pipelines and solving complex latency challenges.
- •Key Responsibilities Architect distributed streaming architectures using Kafka Streams, Spark, and Flink.
- •Own the stability of pipelines processing massive events per second, solving for data integrity and low latency.
- •Set engineering standards for reliability through monitoring, observability, and automated testing.
- •Proactively identify opportunities to refactor and modernize the platform for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- •Requirements 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in Scala or Java. 5+ years hands-on with the Kafka ecosystem (Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, Flink, Spark).
- •Proven track record of designing resilient systems under heavy load.
- •Mastery of the AWS ecosystem (MSK, EMR, Athena, Lambda, Terraform, Kubernetes).
