- •Axle Informatics is seeking an Associate Director of Data and Modeling to lead teams in data engineering, AI/ML, scientific computing, and modeling to enhance biomedical research capabilities.
- •This role involves transforming complex data challenges into robust systems and fostering an environment for technical teams to excel.
- •Key Responsibilities Set technical direction for data platforms, AI/ML systems, and scientific computing environments.
- •Guide the design and operation of data systems for large, heterogeneous scientific datasets.
- •Lead the development of AI/ML capabilities for scientific and operational value.
- •Build and lead multidisciplinary teams, fostering technical leadership and collaboration.
- •Requirements Eight or more years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, ML engineering, computational science, or data science.
- •Five or more years of leadership experience building and guiding multidisciplinary technical teams.
- •Demonstrated experience designing, building, deploying, and operating production-grade data, AI/ML, software, or scientific computing systems.
- •Strong technical judgment across modern data and AI architectures, distributed processing, and MLOps/LLMOps.
- •Experience moving AI/ML work from research to production, including evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
