About the role
TL;DR
Design and build systems for multi-cloud AI platform deployment and management.
- •Anthropic is seeking a Staff+ Software Engineer to join the Platform Portability team.
- •This role will focus on designing and building systems that enable Anthropic to deploy and manage its AI models across multiple cloud providers and accelerator platforms.
- •Key Responsibilities Design and build provider-agnostic abstractions for storage, messaging, and connectivity.
- •Develop tooling for provisioning, configuring, and operating services across clouds.
- •Ship Claude onto third-party cloud platforms, owning the end-to-end delivery pipeline.
- •Collaborate with cloud partners and internal teams to define and implement platform capabilities.
- •Mentor engineers on multi-cloud patterns and drive alignment on portability strategies.
- •Requirements Minimum of 8 years of practical experience building and operating production distributed systems.
- •Experience running production workloads across multiple cloud providers.
- •Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (e.g., Python, Go, or Rust).
- •Experience with Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi).
- •Understanding of ML infrastructure and supporting interconnects.
