TL;DR
Build and scale Anthropic's Claude Managed Agents platform for production AI agents.
- •Anthropic is seeking experienced backend and distributed systems engineers to build Claude Managed Agents, a hosted platform for creating, running, and scaling production agents on Claude.
- •This role involves driving 0 to 1 efforts, owning systems end-to-end, and partnering with cross-functional teams.
- •Key Responsibilities Design and operate systems for durable session and event storage, sandbox orchestration, streaming, scheduling, and multi-tenant isolation.
- •Develop and evaluate agent harnesses, building eval infrastructure to measure harness quality.
- •Ship capabilities for outcome-driven execution, multi-agent orchestration, memory, and observability for agents.
- •Shape primitives like agents, environments, sessions, vaults, and event streams, focusing on API design and stability.
- •Requirements Minimum of 8 years of practical experience as a backend, distributed systems, or infrastructure engineer.
- •Experience building and operating stateful, long-running, or high-throughput systems in production.
- •Strong product sense and experience with API design; ability to ideate and execute product strategy.
- •Comfort navigating ambiguity and experience in 0 to 1 work.
- •Experience using Claude or other AI tools and opinions on agent harnesses.
- •Full ownership of work from design through operations and iteration.
