TL;DR
Own hardware product manufacturing from development to mass production and ongoing health.
- •Anthropic is building its own servers, racks, and accelerator systems and needs experienced engineers to own how well that hardware gets built.
- •As a Product Engineer, you will be the technical owner of a product at the factory, ensuring design fixes before builds and maintaining production health.
- •Key Responsibilities Own new accelerator rack manufacturing from evaluation to mass production.
- •Scale manufacturing across multiple lines, sites, or manufacturers.
- •Lead root cause analysis for field failures traced to manufacturing gaps.
- •Manage engineering changes across manufacturers, including BOM and PLM updates.
- •Integrate manufacturing requirements and validation data into development reviews.
- •Requirements Experience carrying a hardware product from early builds through mass production at a contract manufacturer or ODM.
- •Experience setting up or improving assembly and test processes, driving yield, quality, and schedule commitments.
- •Proficiency in structured manufacturing and root-cause methods (DFM, FMEA, SPC, 8D).
- •Ability to write product-specific test plans and assess test coverage.
- •Clear communication with partner engineers, operations staff, and leadership.
- •Willingness to travel up to 50% to partner sites.
- •Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
