Senior Compliance Manager & MLRO responsible for the financial crime compliance program in Japan.
- •Airwallex is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager & MLRO for Japan to lead and embed its compliance program.
- •This role partners with internal teams to design, develop, implement, and monitor screening and monitoring rules, supporting regulatory obligations for the Japan market.
- •The position reports to the Regional Director of Financial Crime Compliance for Asia and MLRO, driving the development, launch, and management of key compliance programs.
- •Key Responsibilities Own and develop the FCC compliance framework in Japan, building on the global framework.
- •Manage and set departmental and individual targets for the FCC Team.
- •Provide day-to-day management of AML regulatory interactions, examinations, and ad-hoc requests.
- •Represent Airwallex with critical external stakeholders, including regulators and financial partners.
- •Develop and manage an effective anti-money laundering program.
- •Requirements A minimum of 8 years financial crimes compliance experience in a financial institution.
- •Ability to multitask effortlessly and handle challenging priorities under deadlines.
- •Credible stakeholder engagement and management skills.
- •Written and verbal fluency in both Japanese and English.
