- •We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a deliberately small, AI-native team that owns the systems behind Affirm's bank: vendor-integrated banking infrastructure, durable workflows, data platform, and the operational tooling that holds it all together.
- •Key Responsibilities Own bank systems end-to-end, including design, build, integration, operation, and incident response.
- •Act as a force multiplier on a small team, setting and improving standards for code review, design, and documentation.
- •Leverage AI tools and agentic workflows to enhance code quality, velocity, and operational efficiency.
- •Manage third-party vendor relationships end-to-end, including integration, operations, and audit.
- •Requirements 6+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of end-to-end ownership.
- •Comfortable in ambiguity, moving fast, and taking ownership.
- •Strong systems thinking across public cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and cloud data platforms (Snowflake or comparable).
- •Experience in regulated environments (banking, payments, securities, healthcare) with examiner-facing documentation.
