About the role
TL;DR
Senior Electrical Engineer to own edge-AI device hardware design from concept to production.
- •As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Coram AI, you'll own the electrical design of our next-generation edge-AI devices, taking embedded SoCs from reference designs to shippable products.
- •You'll manage the full product lifecycle from concept through production, shaping how our hardware scales globally.
- •Key Responsibilities Own board design end to end: architecture, component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, and design reviews.
- •Own board bring-up and validation: power sequencing, signal integrity, sensor and peripheral bring-up, and functional test development.
- •Own the embedded platform on your boards: BSP, bootloader, device trees, drivers, and the base image.
- •Design for rugged, real-world environments, considering power budgets, surge protection, and thermal behavior.
- •Manage vendor and supplier relationships to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
- •Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 5+ years of experience in hardware product development with at least one product shipped at volume.
- •Strong schematic capture and PCB layout proficiency (Altium or equivalent), including high-speed digital design.
- •Hands-on lab and bring-up skills with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
- •Working embedded software competence in C and embedded Linux.
- •Proven DFM experience and a track record of working with contract manufacturers through NPI.
