- •The Camera Engineer is responsible for the imaging stack, ensuring high-quality, precisely timed sensor data for AI applications.
- •Key Responsibilities Define imaging architecture, select lens and sensor combinations, and align specifications with the AI team.
- •Implement low-level logic, writing FPGA firmware for high-speed sensor interfaces and hardware synchronization.
- •Drive the manufacturing lifecycle, working with external partners and defining validation tests.
- •Lead hardware bring-up and debug, testing performance and supporting integration into the software stack.
- •Tune image quality by analyzing performance and optimizing designs and algorithms.
- •Requirements Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Physics, Optical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- •Track record of taking complex opto-electronic systems from prototype to production.
- •Practical knowledge of opto-mechanical design challenges, including thermal management and optical alignment.
- •Strong understanding of imaging physics: lens selection, MTF characteristics, CMOS sensor architecture, quantum efficiency, and noise sources.
- •System-level synchronization experience (PTP, PPS, hardware triggers) to align image capture.
- •Proficiency in C/C++ or Rust for low-level firmware development or hardware-software interface debugging.
