About the role

TL;DR

Deploy and maintain server and network hardware in a data center or hardware lab.

  • The Data Center Technician will be responsible for deploying, supporting, and maintaining server and network hardware in a live data center or hardware lab.
  • Key Responsibilities Rack and stack hardware, perform cabling, and ensure hardware is running smoothly.
  • Deeply troubleshoot server hardware, including POST, BIOS, PXE, IPMI, BMC, and component-level repair.
  • Diagnose and resolve physical-layer faults in network hardware.
  • Provide hands-on diagnosis and recovery at the console using Linux.
  • Maintain accurate asset records, labels, and documentation.
  • Requirements Experience deploying and supporting server and network hardware in a live data center or hardware lab.
  • Deep troubleshooting skills for server hardware.
  • Knowledge of network fundamentals and hardware.
  • Comfortable working in Linux for hands-on diagnosis and recovery.
  • Experience with asset records, labels, and documentation.
  • Experience working with unreleased or partner-owned hardware.
