About the role
TL;DR
Build and own Jane's customer data infrastructure, setting direction and standards for data collection and pipelines.
- •Jane is building a founding engineering team to own its customer data infrastructure.
- •This role will be instrumental in assessing existing systems, defining future direction, and building robust data pipelines and standards for a rapidly growing company.
- •Key Responsibilities Own the end-to-end build and maintenance of Jane's customer data infrastructure, including event pipelines and source integrations.
- •Drive tooling strategy for the collection layer, including evaluating and implementing CDP solutions.
- •Establish instrumentation standards across engineering, product, and marketing for event data.
- •Take ownership of identity resolution and attribution at the collection layer to ensure trustworthy funnel data.
- •Requirements University Degree in Computer Science or related STEM field, with experience operating at a staff level or higher.
- •Proven experience building and maintaining event collection, customer data infrastructure, or data pipeline systems in production.
- •Experience evaluating or implementing Customer Data Platforms and migrating/consolidating tooling.
- •Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and SQL; Python is a strong asset.
