Lead Software Engineer to build advanced pilot assistance software for aviation safety.
- •Beacon AI is building an AI platform to make flying safer, more efficient, and more capable.
- •We are backed by top investors and have secured numerous Department of Defense contracts and partnerships with major airlines.
- •Key Responsibilities Design, build, and deploy robotic and embedded software for advanced pilot assistance systems.
- •Own autonomy-related features from concept through deployment, focusing on reliability and performance.
- •Write and maintain high-quality Python and C++ code across autonomy, systems, and embedded components.
- •Optimize software for edge compute environments, managing resources and implementing safety mechanisms.
- •Mentor engineers and contribute to technical direction through design and code reviews.
- •Requirements 5+ years of experience designing and deploying robotic software and/or embedded systems in production.
- •Strong software engineering skills in C++ and/or Python, with experience in systems-level or embedded programming.
- •Familiarity with autonomy-related systems and integrating with perception or sensor pipelines.
- •Hands-on experience with embedded or edge compute platforms and debugging hardware/software interactions.
- •Proven ability to deliver complex systems end-to-end in fast-moving environments.
