About the role
TL;DR
Design engaging saving experiences for Acorns' new Community product.
- •Acorns is building a new Community product team to drive engagement and saving habits through network effects.
- •As the Senior Product Designer, you will be instrumental in shaping a product that makes saving as compelling as social and gaming apps.
- •Key Responsibilities Design engagement loops, sharing moments, and habit-forming mechanics to drive user addiction to saving.
- •Set the quality bar for the Community product, focusing on micro-interactions, feel, and delight.
- •Create a product experience that embodies Acorns' mission and resonates with a diverse, often new-to-investing audience.
- •Ship features rapidly, learn by building, and contribute to the team's agility.
- •Ensure design intent is maintained through production in collaboration with engineering and product.
- •Requirements Experience designing engagement or retention features for social, gaming, or high-growth consumer apps.
- •Proven ability to own the full design process end-to-end: discovery, concept, high-fidelity design, and shipped product.
- •Skill in translating ambiguous briefs into sharp, opinionated product directions.
- •Attention to detail and a drive to ensure implementation meets design intent.
- •Experience working on small, cross-functional teams with high ownership and low process overhead.
- •Experience building or contributing to a design system.
