About the role
TL;DR
Owns mechanical and electromechanical design of next-gen security and edge-AI systems.
- •As a Design Engineer at Coram AI, you’ll own the mechanical and electromechanical design of our next-generation security and edge-AI systems.
- •You’ll bridge industrial design, manufacturing, and field deployment, building products that integrate compute, power, and connectivity in rugged, real-world environments.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and validation of electromechanical assemblies balancing performance, manufacturability, and cost.
- •Own the full product lifecycle from prototype through EVT/DVT/PVT, vendor handoff, and field deployment.
- •Manage vendor and supplier relationships to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
- •Drive execution across multiple workstreams with urgency and accountability.
- •Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 2–5 years of experience in electromechanical or hardware product development.
- •Strong CAD proficiency (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
- •Proven DFM/DFA experience and understanding of manufacturing techniques for sheet metal and injection molding.
- •Working knowledge of thermal, vibration, and environmental design considerations.
