About the role
TL;DR
Lead design system development for cohesive homeowner experiences.
- •Lead the development and evolution of Kin's design system to ensure cohesive, trusted experiences across all homeowner products.
- •This principal-level role focuses on owning the token layer, establishing Figma-to-code parity, and defining contribution models.
- •Key Responsibilities Audit existing component libraries and product experiences to unify and streamline the design system.
- •Own and drive Kin's token architecture across color, typography, spacing, and motion.
- •Establish and maintain Figma-to-code parity with engineering.
- •Define and implement the contribution model and governance for the design system.
- •Advocate for accessibility in components and ensure consistent, on-brand experiences.
- •Requirements Track record of taking a design system from audit through adoption. 7+ years of visual and product design experience, with a focus on design systems.
- •Deep fluency in token architecture and mastery of Figma.
- •Proven ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate tasks and improve the design-to-code loop.
- •Ability to influence without authority across a federated organization.
