TL;DR
Provide legal counsel on global litigation and regulatory matters, managing outside counsel and developing legal strategies.
- •OpenAI is seeking an experienced counsel to join its growing Litigation and Regulatory team.
- •This role will support global intellectual property litigation, dispute resolution, and certain regulatory matters, working cross-functionally with Legal, Communications, Global Affairs, and Executive teams.
- •Key Responsibilities Provide legal advice on global litigation and regulatory matters, including commercial disputes, IP litigation, and regulatory investigations.
- •Manage and oversee outside counsel in all aspects of litigation and regulatory matters.
- •Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop legal strategies.
- •Requirements At least 8+ years of combined litigation and/or regulatory experience at innovative technology companies and law firms.
- •JD and an active license to practice law in California or another U.S. state.
- •Experience managing complex global intellectual property litigation, including copyright and trademark disputes.
- •Strong sense of ownership, inquisitiveness about technology, and sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
