About the role
TL;DR
Legal advisor for AI safety and security in EMEA, shaping policy and incident response.
- •As Safety & Security Counsel, EMEA, you will be the primary legal advisor for Anthropic's safety and security initiatives in the EMEA region.
- •This role involves shaping legal frameworks for AI safety, usage policy, and incident response.
- •Key Responsibilities Advise on usage policy design and enforcement frameworks.
- •Counsel on sensitive escalations and strategic response, including government and press interactions.
- •Support safety and security engineering teams on new tooling and detection mechanisms.
- •Serve as a first-line legal contact for safety and security incidents.
- •Stay abreast of AI safety and security policy and regulatory developments in relevant jurisdictions.
- •Requirements Qualification to practice law in England & Wales or a relevant jurisdiction.
- •Experience advising on fast-moving, high-stakes matters.
- •Working knowledge of trust & safety, cybersecurity, privacy, or platform regulation.
- •Technical fluency to understand system architecture, data flows, and AI model behavior.
- •Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder responses and translating legal analysis for technical audiences.
