Perform structural analysis and verification of spacecraft hardware using FEA.
- •Xona Space Systems is seeking a Structural Analyst to own the structural analysis, sizing, and verification of spacecraft hardware.
- •You will ensure mechanical designs meet strength, stiffness, and performance requirements for Xona's PNT service.
- •Key Responsibilities Perform structural analyses using FEA and hand calculations.
- •Support design and optimization of structures for strength, stiffness, and fatigue.
- •Develop and validate finite element models for metallic and composite structures.
- •Evaluate structural performance under various loading conditions.
- •Develop structural analysis plans, reports, and verification documentation.
- •Requirements BS or MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. 1+ years of structural analysis experience.
- •Proficiency with FEA software (Femap/Nastran preferred).
- •Experience developing FE models and applying analytical methods.
- •Demonstrated understanding of structural sizing and margin maintenance.
