Lead global sourcing strategy for drone delivery hardware at Wing.
- •Wing is looking for a Global Sourcing Manager to join our Sourcing team.
- •This role is onsite based in Palo Alto, CA.
- •You will help design and build our hardware supply chain, lead supplier engagement strategy, and enable scale by partnering closely with engineering, operations, legal and finance teams.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead commercial engagement and sourcing strategy for parts and/or assembly of our aircraft and ground infrastructure Negotiate the contractual terms and pricing for our supplier partnerships Partner closely with internal cross-functional teams, our suppliers and our contract manufacturers to ensure quality and manufacturability of our assemblies Secure supplier capacity and scale to meet demand Source and qualify new suppliers, conduct market research and technology analysis to support Wing's innovation roadmap Requirements 8+ years of experience developing and managing global supplier relationships and bringing high-volume products from concept to mass production A Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (e.g., mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering) is preferred A natural ability to operate autonomously across multiple teams in situations of ambiguity and develop scalable solutions Ability and curiosity to quickly learn and dive deep into designs and underlying technology but keep a fast pace of operational execution Effective communication skills with suppliers, peers and with executive teams
