About the role
TL;DR
Lead the development and strategy of Weaviate's open-source database.
- •As the Product Manager for Weaviate Database, you'll lead the direction of the open-source engine for storing, searching, and working with AI-native data.
- •You'll connect engineering and business, translating customer needs into requirements, and ensuring successful market launches.
- •Key Responsibilities Own the Weaviate Database roadmap and prioritize across engineering teams.
- •Partner with Weaviate Cloud teams to ensure the database roadmap meets their needs.
- •Define success metrics for major features and track outcomes post-ship.
- •Drive product direction across schema, storage, filtering, replication, cluster topology, and migrations.
- •Translate customer and operational pain into clear requirements and sequence work across releases.
- •Requirements 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years on a developer-facing or infrastructure product.
- •Proven ability to own a complex technical roadmap across multiple workstreams.
- •Strong written communication skills, both verbal and written.
- •Experience running customer discovery and translating qualitative signal into product decisions.
- •Comfortable working in distributed systems or data infrastructure domains.
- •Track record of cross-functional collaboration across engineering, design, and GTM.
