TL;DR
Build data systems to transform design work into ML training data.
- •Vizcom is seeking a Research Engineer to build the data flywheel that turns professional design work into training-grade preference data.
- •You will work alongside researchers and within product systems to capture and process signals from design sessions.
- •Key Responsibilities Design and implement instrumentation in production systems to capture relevant data.
- •Build data pipelines from canvas to warehouse to training set, ensuring data quality and reproducibility.
- •Establish dataset contracts and lineage for traceability and reproducibility.
- •Develop systems that uphold privacy and data boundaries for enterprise customers.
- •Create research-ready datasets that allow for safe and effective experimentation.
- •Requirements Experience building training-data infrastructure or large-scale data pipelines.
- •Strong software engineering skills for building reliable production systems.
- •Experience designing data models and pipelines with reproducibility and observability in mind.
- •Comfort working closely with researchers to translate ambiguous questions into measurable datasets.
- •Strong judgment around data quality and understanding signal absence.
