TL;DR
Lead a team of engineers to build and scale Verkada's Access Control platform.
- •At Verkada, we're building the operating system for the physical world.
- •Our Access Control team develops the software that securely manages millions of door events every day, connecting cloud services, mobile apps, web applications, and edge hardware into a seamless customer experience.
- •We’re looking for an Engineering Manager who enjoys building products, growing engineers, and solving difficult technical problems.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and grow a team of frontend and backend software engineers.
- •Own delivery for major customer-facing initiatives from concept through production.
- •Partner closely with Product Management, Design, Firmware, Mobile, and other engineering teams.
- •Drive technical direction while empowering engineers to make architectural decisions.
- •Foster a culture of engineering excellence through thoughtful code reviews, design discussions, and operational discipline.
- •Requirements 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant experience in Python, Go, or React. 1+ years managing software engineers.
- •Experience building production software across both frontend and backend systems.
- •Strong software architecture and system design skills.
- •Experience designing and operating distributed systems in production.
