About the role
TL;DR
Lead systems engineering team, own platform initiatives, and build critical internal systems.
- •Vanta's Corporate Engineering team is seeking a Senior Manager, Systems Engineering to lead the shift from a reactive support function to a platform function.
- •This role will own critical platform initiatives and build the leadership layer beneath them.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and grow a team of systems engineers.
- •Own joiner, mover, and leaver automation end to end in Okta Workflows.
- •Build and own device assurance across macOS and Windows.
- •Rationalize the ITSM estate and govern SaaS procurement.
- •Own the identity, access, and connector infrastructure behind Vanta's company-wide AI stack.
- •Requirements Track record of raising the bar on an inherited team and developing engineers.
- •Appetite for inherited complexity and untangling it.
- •Enablement-first instinct and technical depth to evaluate estimates.
- •Hands-on fluency with AI in enterprise tooling (Okta, Intune, Jamf, Atlassian, or GitHub).
- •Experience spanning identity, endpoint, ITSM, and procurement. 8+ years in IT or systems engineering, including 3+ years managing engineers.
