- •Valar Atomics is seeking a Staff I&C Hardware Engineer to specify, design, install, commission, and maintain the instrumentation and control hardware for nuclear fuel manufacturing facilities.
- •This role involves hands-on work in a dynamic environment where measurement quality and installation integrity are critical for production reliability and nuclear safety.
- •Key Responsibilities Specify field instrumentation and final control elements, and design control panels and I/O architecture.
- •Perform hazardous area classification and own safety instrumented system hardware scope.
- •Develop instrumentation engineering documentation and oversee installation of field wiring and network infrastructure.
- •Tune PID and advanced regulatory control loops, and commission field instrumentation.
- •Provide technical direction to contractors and mentor junior engineers.
- •Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Chemical, or Systems Engineering. 8+ years of instrumentation or I&C engineering experience in process industries.
- •Demonstrated experience specifying instruments, control valves, and developing instrumentation deliverables.
- •Experience leading hazardous area classification and intrinsic safety loop verification.
- •Working knowledge of control panel design, I/O architecture, and field wiring practice.
