- •Rocket Money is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to translate complex financial data into compelling public insights.
- •This role will shape public understanding of personal finance trends and advocate for positive change in the financial and consumer services industry.
- •Key Responsibilities Build recurring reports on consumer finances using company data.
- •Create and publish blog posts relating data insights to current news and economic trends.
- •Generate positive PR by making unique insights into consumer behavior available to news and policy organizations.
- •Analyze aggregate user financial data to uncover trends relevant to a general audience.
- •Coordinate and fulfill data-driven public relations requests.
- •Requirements 8+ years of experience in data science, economics, statistics, and analytics. 5+ years of experience using data to drive public conversation for a public company or advocacy organization.
- •Strong SQL skills and experience with large datasets.
- •Strong understanding of inferential statistical methods, especially survey/sampling methods.
- •Deep understanding of personal finance, economic trends, and the regulatory landscape.
