TL;DR
Own and evolve the data platform infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and usability for data teams.
- •Rocket Money's mission is to improve financial prosperity through understanding finances and offering valuable services.
- •The Data Platform team builds and maintains the infrastructure that enables the company to understand users and products through reliable, scalable data systems.
- •Key Responsibilities End-to-end ownership of the data platform infrastructure, ensuring security, usability, and performance.
- •Collaborative decision-making on data tooling, pipeline design, and governance.
- •Continuously improve failure rates for data sources by catching bugs/failures close to the source.
- •Analyze patterns in source data generation, modeling, and consumption.
- •Systematically improve existing tools and workflows to production-grade quality.
- •Requirements 6+ years of experience in data infrastructure, data engineering, or platform engineering.
- •Proficiency with SQL, Python, and cloud-based Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform). 4+ years of production experience with modern data stacks (data warehouses, orchestration tools, ingestion services, IaC). 2+ years of experience building and maintaining production data pipelines.
- •Proven ability to "professionalize" data infrastructure and evolve systems into reliable, well-documented platforms.
