About the role
TL;DR
Designs and builds scalable data pipelines and platform solutions using Databricks and dbt.
- •Designs and builds robust, scalable data pipelines and data platform solutions across Tekion's enterprise data platform.
- •Works independently on complex data engineering features and systems while collaborating with peers to deliver high-quality, AI-assisted data products.
- •Key Responsibilities Designs, develops, and maintains data pipelines, data models, and data platform services across the Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
- •Writes clean, efficient, and well-documented transformation logic using dbt and Databricks Delta Live Tables (DLT).
- •Builds and enforces data quality checks at every layer of the pipeline, ensuring issues are caught early.
- •Designs pipelines with end-to-end reconciliation in mind.
- •Develops and maintains analytical dashboards using Tableau or Databricks AI/BI.
- •Requirements 4 to 6 years of experience in data engineering.
- •Hands-on experience building and operating data pipelines on Databricks or an equivalent AI-first data platform.
- •Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with dbt and Databricks Delta Live Tables (DLT).
- •Experience designing and implementing data quality frameworks.
- •Demonstrated ability to build end-to-end reconcilable pipelines.
