TL;DR

- •Swarm Aero is seeking a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Routed Systems to design and integrate electrical systems for their swarming UAVs.
- •This role involves close collaboration across engineering disciplines to ensure robust and reliable avionics and electrical systems from initial design through mass production.
- •Key Responsibilities Design and develop aircraft electrical systems including power distribution, wire harness routing, and load analysis.
- •Integrate avionics devices and cabling into the airframe by specifying or creating necessary mounts and brackets.
- •Define avionics interface requirements and integration approach for routed systems.
- •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical routing, grounding, shielding, and EMI/EMC requirements are met.
- •Support flight test anomaly investigation and drive root cause analysis for electrical faults.
- •Requirements 3+ years of avionics or aircraft electrical engineering experience on aerospace, defense, or UAS platforms.
- •Hands-on experience with aircraft electrical system design, including power distribution and wire harness design.
- •Proficiency with wiring harness design tools (e.g., Zuken, Capital, Artifact) and cable routing tools (e.g., Solidworks/Catia Electrical, NX Electrical, CreoParametric).
- •Experience taking avionics or electrical systems from design through hardware integration and flight test.
- •US person status required.
