About the role
TL;DR
Owns benchmarking and profiling systems for performance measurement and regression detection.
- •Supabase is seeking experienced performance engineers to establish rigorous, repeatable, and actionable performance measurement systems.
- •This role will own the benchmarking and profiling systems, detect regressions, explain performance changes, and publish credible performance numbers.
- •Key Responsibilities Build and evolve benchmarking, profiling, and load-testing tooling.
- •Define benchmark suites and reference workloads reflecting real customer behavior.
- •Establish performance baselines and regression gates across products.
- •Build mechanisms to turn benchmark results into action, including triage workflows and reports.
- •Partner with database teams to identify bottlenecks and drive performance improvements.
- •Requirements Deep experience in performance engineering, benchmarking, and profiling of complex distributed systems.
- •Strong systems intuition (databases, storage, networking, cloud infrastructure).
- •Comfortable working across product, infra, and database teams.
- •Pragmatic, tooling-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
