About the role
TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer to build and maintain backend services for payments.
- •The Payments Experience team builds and maintains backend services for payout settings, payout instruments, and payment flow tooling.
- •This role involves migrating legacy services off an aging platform database while delivering new capabilities.
- •Key Responsibilities Build and ship features within the Payments Experience domain.
- •Support the ongoing maintenance and operational health of backend services.
- •Contribute to decommissioning a legacy Ruby service.
- •Help remove Platform DB dependencies from the Bank Accounts service.
- •Take part in planning and refinement sessions.
- •Requirements Strong hands-on experience building applications in Go.
- •Comfortable working within microservices architectures and implementing or consuming RESTful APIs.
- •Good knowledge of SQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
- •Familiarity with containerised deployments using Kubernetes and experience working with AWS.
- •Open to feedback and comfortable navigating multi-language codebases (Go and Ruby).
