About the role
TL;DR
Lead a team of engineers, driving technical architecture and hands-on implementation in a Microsoft environment.
- •Shift delivers AI agents that transform insurers' most critical work.
- •As an Engineering Manager for our Documents squad in Paris, you will lead a small and very collaborative team of 4 people, focusing on driving engineering excellence and supporting engineer development.
- •Key Responsibilities Drive robust software architectures and make critical technical choices for the squad.
- •Write code to solve complex technical challenges alongside your small team.
- •Mentor software engineers within your squad, fostering a culture of learning and continuous growth.
- •Simplify complex technical structures to improve maintainability, usability, and reliability.
- •Partner closely with product management and other teams to align technical strategies with business objectives.
- •Requirements Extensive hands-on experience in software development, including significant expertise in C#.
- •At least 1 prior experience mentoring or managing small teams as a Team Lead or Manager.
- •Skilled at providing technical direction, evaluating trade-offs, and making sound technical decisions.
- •Fluent English speaker; command of French is a strong asset.
- •Strong cross-functional skills to partner effectively with stakeholders.
