About the role
TL;DR
Principal Data Scientist to improve safety by detecting and mitigating harmful content and behavior.
- •Roblox is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to join their Safety team.
- •This role will focus on improving the detection and mitigation of harmful user-generated content and behaviors on the platform.
- •Key Responsibilities Establish and monitor prevalence measurement methodologies for harmful content.
- •Develop and validate ground truth datasets for harmful UGC and violative behaviors.
- •Conduct exploratory analysis to understand threat landscapes and recommend strategic investments.
- •Design, implement, and analyze experiments for new moderation and safety features.
- •Leverage causal inference methodologies to measure the effectiveness of safety initiatives.
- •Requirements 10+ years of industry experience in data science, economics, analytics, or machine learning engineering. 7+ years of experience using scripting languages (Python, R) and big data tools (SQL, Hive, Spark, Airflow).
- •Knowledge of ML and Deep Learning.
- •Experience developing large-scale safety or moderation systems.
- •Advanced Degree and/or PhD in a quantitative field.
