TL;DR
Develop and maintain safety software for industrial robotics, ensuring compliance with international safety standards.
- •RobCo is seeking a Functional Safety Programmer to be the technical cornerstone of their safety controller architecture and functional safety compliance.
- •This role involves taking ownership of the embedded C/C++ safety software stack and ensuring systems meet international safety standards.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead C/C++ safety software development for next-generation safety controllers.
- •Maintain and update certified safety applications on PLC platforms.
- •Drive functional safety compliance adhering to ISO 13849-1, IEC 61508, and MISRA standards.
- •Author certification documentation and serve as the technical contact for safety assessments.
- •Requirements Vocational training or degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or comparable field.
- •Several years of experience in embedded software development in C and C++.
- •Experience with functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508, ISO 13849-1).
- •Working knowledge of MISRA C/C++ guidelines and static analysis tools.
