About the role
TL;DR
Build and operate critical microservices for eCommerce checkout and order systems.
- •Rent the Runway is seeking a Software Engineer II/III to join their eCommerce Platform team in Galway.
- •This role will focus on building and operating critical, cloud-scale microservices for customer checkout and orders, as well as internal applications for customer support and financial reporting.
- •Key Responsibilities Build and improve internal CX team applications using ReactJS.
- •Own features end-to-end, from frontend interfaces to Java/Kotlin services and APIs.
- •Integrate with third-party providers for payments, fraud, and tax.
- •Improve quality, reliability, and scalability of revenue-critical flows.
- •Collaborate with stakeholders to build scalable software solutions.
- •Requirements BA/BS in Computer Science or related degree, and 4+ years of practical experience.
- •Hands-on experience with ReactJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Kotlin, SpringBoot, Maven, npm.
- •Experience with cloud/web-scale microservices, GCP, GitHub, AMQP/RabbitMQ, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Splunk.
- •Proven experience building responsive, well-tested web applications.
- •Solid experience with OOP and design patterns, building backend services and APIs.
