TL;DR
Build and own financial reporting and analysis for a prediction market platform.
- •Polymarket is seeking a Senior Financial Data Analyst to bridge the gap between the finance team and the data warehouse.
- •This role involves building and owning the reporting layer for finance, transforming raw platform and financial data into reliable reports, and conducting in-depth analysis of financial flows.
- •Key Responsibilities Build and maintain the financial reporting layer in the data warehouse.
- •Reconcile general ledger and platform data to ensure accuracy.
- •Translate raw transaction and trading data into clean financial reports.
- •Analyze fee structures, incentives, and promotions to measure their impact on revenue and retention.
- •Partner with finance on monthly close, variance analysis, and forecasting.
- •Requirements 7+ years in data analysis/science, financial analysis, or similar, with experience building finance-dependent reporting.
- •Expert SQL skills for complex data joins.
- •Data science background with causal inference, quasi-experimental methods, or predictive modeling in Python or R.
- •Working knowledge of accounting fundamentals and general ledger structure.
- •Experience with modern cloud data warehouses (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or ClickHouse).
