About the role
TL;DR
Build and maintain foundational backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines for enterprise products.
- •As a Software Engineer on the XCore team, you will build and maintain foundational systems powering all Backstory.ai products, from identity and authorization to audit logging and BI data exports.
- •You'll work in a technically deep environment focused on writing great software, designing low-latency APIs, building reliable data pipelines, and scaling complex distributed systems.
- •Key Responsibilities Build and maintain performant, low-latency APIs and distributed microservices.
- •Implement and maintain data pipelines for large volumes of data.
- •Maintain and improve existing features based on user feedback.
- •Contribute to production observability through alerting, dashboards, and runbooks.
- •Build tooling to reduce manual operations and support customer self-service.
- •Requirements 3+ years of professional experience building backend systems in an enterprise environment. 1+ years of experience programming in Python or Scala.
- •Solid understanding of microservices and service-oriented architectures.
- •Familiarity with databases, caching strategies, and low-latency service design.
- •Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
