About the role
TL;DR
Build APIs, SDKs, and tools for extending ChatGPT and Codex.
- •Build the APIs, SDKs, and tools that let people extend ChatGPT and Codex.
- •You’ll own features from developer conversation through implementation and release, working across developer-facing interfaces, APIs, and backend systems.
- •Key Responsibilities Design and ship APIs, SDKs, and services for ChatGPT and Codex extensions.
- •Improve plugin creation, testing, publishing, updating, and sharing.
- •Enhance compatibility and consistency across ChatGPT and Codex.
- •Contribute to MCP and other open standards.
- •Requirements Experience building software for developers (open-source, API/SDK, developer platform).
- •Strong opinions on APIs and abstractions with ability to explain tradeoffs.
- •Enjoy talking with developers and learning their needs.
- •Ability to move between product and technical details.
- •Comfort working across web interfaces and backend systems.
