About the role
TL;DR
Lead a data engineering team, build data architecture, and manage platform solutions.
- •As Senior Manager, Data Engineering and Platform, you will lead a team of Data Engineers responsible for creating platform and data engineering architecture for business intelligence and data science solutions.
- •This role emphasizes people management and coaching alongside hands-on data engineering.
- •Key Responsibilities Develop and adhere to standard methodologies for platform architecture, data engineering, and data quality.
- •Propose and socialize data architecture to enable business analytics.
- •Drive technical conversations with stakeholders to explore problem facets and solutions.
- •Design and build facts, dimensions, snapshots, and SCDs in Snowflake/Databricks using dbt/airflow/ELT tools.
- •Hire and retain top data engineering talent and assist in employee growth through coaching.
- •Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of professional data engineering experience, including acting as an incident commander during critical outages.
- •Extensive experience with data architecture, tool evaluations, data modeling, and building ETL pipelines.
- •Strong data warehouse knowledge and ability to write complex SQL for data processing, validation, and QA.
- •Experience with Python for data manipulation and transformation.
