About the role
TL;DR
Mid-level Backend Engineer to deliver features end-to-end in a high-traffic microservices platform.
- •Deliver complete features end-to-end in a microservices platform handling tens of thousands of requests per minute.
- •Design solutions within the existing architecture, focusing on concurrency, high-volume traffic, and availability.
- •Key Responsibilities Deliver complete features end-to-end, from technical breakdown to production.
- •Design solutions within existing architecture and make sound decisions within own modules.
- •Work on problems of scale: concurrency, high-volume traffic, and availability.
- •Co-own the health of services: tests, observability, and production issues.
- •Use AI coding tools as part of daily workflow, owning correctness, security, and performance.
- •Review PRs and mentor Juniors.
- •Break down work, estimate it, and deliver on commitments.
- •Requirements 2+ years of professional experience with Golang (or 3+ years of backend experience with at least 1 year in Go).
- •Working grasp of architecture and ability to make sound design decisions.
- •Practical experience with concurrent and event-driven systems.
- •Working knowledge of distributed systems and cloud computing principles.
- •Experience building microservices using SQL and NoSQL databases.
- •Familiarity with API design patterns like gRPC or GraphQL.
- •Experience running code in production on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- •Comfortable with Docker; knowledge of Terraform is a plus.
- •Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
- •Familiarity with Agile development practices.
- •Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants.
