About the role
TL;DR
Engineer responsible for fleet operations and reliability of global ground station network.
- •Northwood is building a global network of next-generation ground stations and is seeking a Fleet Operations & Reliability Engineer to be the first line of defense for network operations, ensuring uptime and performance of deployed hardware worldwide.
- •Key Responsibilities Own fleet uptime and performance, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting a global network of antennas.
- •Operate and grow the Network Operations Center, monitoring site health and driving rapid incident response.
- •Lead hardware deployment campaigns at remote sites, acting as the on-site conductor and POC.
- •Drive root cause analysis on failures and implement fixes to reduce future recurrence.
- •Scale the global contractor ecosystem by sourcing, contracting, and onboarding regional partners.
- •Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline.
- •Experience building, testing, operating, or diagnosing complex electrical or mechanical systems.
- •Ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines and diverse teams.
- •Experience operating hardware systems in a live environment, interpreting telemetry and troubleshooting.
- •Willingness to travel to domestic and international ground station sites as required.
