TL;DR
Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains laboratory instrumentation and robotics.
- •The Service Engineer is an intermediate role focused on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and robotics.
- •This engineer has more independence than a service engineer 1 and is expected to have a good troubleshooting foundation.
- •Key Responsibilities Handles more complex troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance.
- •Solves non-routine problems with some guidance.
- •Drafts SOPs and work instructions.
- •Document service tickets completely and with appropriate detail.
- •Adhere to lab safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- •Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences or related field. 2–5 years of experience in Service Engineering, with hands-on experience in laboratory equipment repair.
- •Understanding of diagnostic laboratory workflows, instrumentation and software.
- •Strong knowledge of GDP and regulatory requirements.
- •Excellent organizational and communication skills.
