TL;DR
Solve complex customer MongoDB issues, acting as an expert resource and advocate.
- •MongoDB Technical Services Engineers solve complex customer problems using their deep technical experience and problem-solving skills across the entire MongoDB ecosystem.
- •They act as expert resources, advising customers on architecture, performance, security, and best practices for running MongoDB at scale.
- •Key Responsibilities Advise customers on complex MongoDB issues, including architecture, performance, recovery, and security.
- •Serve as an expert resource on standard methodologies for running MongoDB at scale.
- •Advocate for customer needs by working with product management and development teams.
- •Contribute to internal projects, including developing support tools for performance and diagnostics.
- •Mentor and ramp new team members, and build knowledge of new product lines.
- •Requirements Systems engineering experience (Linux performance, memory management, security, networking, clusters).
- •Good understanding of networking concepts and protocols (DNS, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS).
- •Storage engineering experience (NAS, SAN, SSD, multi-pathing, caching).
- •Experience building and maintaining complex, mission-critical production database systems.
- •Ability to read code and basic coding/scripting ability in one or more languages (Java, Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, Javascript, node.js, Go).
