About the role
TL;DR
Lead contract manufacturing strategy and strategic partnerships to scale production and ensure supply chain performance.
- •Mainspring is rapidly scaling manufacturing and seeks a leader to set the strategy and operating model for its contract manufacturing network and critical partnerships.
- •This role will ensure capacity, cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- •Key Responsibilities Execute multi-year contract manufacturing strategy aligned with product roadmaps and growth objectives.
- •Oversee the partner network, including selection, allocation, and exit strategies.
- •Establish governance and Management Operating System (MOS) for scaled management.
- •Lead executive-level commercial negotiations for MSAs, SOWs, pricing, and tooling.
- •Own cost performance, value engineering, and total-cost-of-ownership (TCO) initiatives.
- •Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Operations, or related field. 10+ years in complex contract manufacturing, global supply chain, and/or operations, managing high-impact strategic supplier or CM portfolios. 5+ years of people leadership experience.
- •Demonstrated success in defining and executing multi-year contract manufacturing strategies.
- •Deep understanding of the full manufacturing lifecycle, including production ramps and continuous improvement.
