•IonQ is seeking a hands-on Network Operations Manager to oversee, scale, and maintain its global corporate network infrastructure.
•This role bridges strategic design with operational excellence, managing network uptime, troubleshooting, and leading scale initiatives like identity-driven security modernization and M&A network integration.
•Key Responsibilities Oversee global LAN, WAN, Wireless, and VPN infrastructure for maximum availability and performance.
•Configure, manage, and lifecycle network hardware from major vendors, and manage vendor relationships.
•Participate in on-call rotation and guide the team in resolving escalated network issues.
•Lead the operational roadmap for integrating newly acquired subsidiaries into a unified IonQ infrastructure.
•Ensure network adherence to CMMC, SOC2 Type II, ITAR, and federal standards for safeguarding CUI.
•Requirements 7-10 years of network engineering and administration experience, with 3-5 years in leadership or operations management.
•Deep understanding of core networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP).
•Strong experience configuring and managing enterprise firewalls and secure VPN tunneling.
•Practical experience with SOC2 Type II or CMMC compliance frameworks.
•Familiarity with migrating to modern, identity-driven cloud directories (e.g., JumpCloud, Okta).
