- •IonQ is seeking a hands-on Network Operations Manager to oversee, scale, and maintain its global corporate network infrastructure.
- •This role bridges strategic design with operational excellence, managing network uptime, troubleshooting, and leading scale initiatives like identity-driven security modernization and M&A network integration.
- •Key Responsibilities Oversee global LAN, WAN, Wireless, and VPN infrastructure for maximum availability and performance.
- •Configure, manage, and lifecycle network hardware from major vendors, and manage vendor relationships.
- •Participate in on-call rotation and guide the team in resolving escalated network issues.
- •Lead the operational roadmap for integrating newly acquired subsidiaries into a unified IonQ infrastructure.
- •Ensure network adherence to CMMC, SOC2 Type II, ITAR, and federal standards for safeguarding CUI.
- •Requirements 7-10 years of network engineering and administration experience, with 3-5 years in leadership or operations management.
- •Deep understanding of core networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP).
- •Strong experience configuring and managing enterprise firewalls and secure VPN tunneling.
- •Practical experience with SOC2 Type II or CMMC compliance frameworks.
- •Familiarity with migrating to modern, identity-driven cloud directories (e.g., JumpCloud, Okta).
