Senior Software Engineer to build and scale backend services for marketing technology.
- •Instacart is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Marketing Enablement & Technology team.
- •This role will focus on building and scaling backend services and data pipelines that power Instacart's paid marketing channels.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead complete projects independently across backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
- •Architect scalable, robust solutions for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- •Drive technical improvements by identifying and solving deeper underlying problems.
- •Partner directly with Marketing and Product stakeholders to influence features and requirements.
- •Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and onboarding support.
- •Requirements 5-8 years of software engineering experience with expert-level proficiency in Python.
- •Proven track record of leading complete projects end-to-end.
- •Deep expertise with data integration technologies (Snowflake, SQL, ETL processes) and workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, DBT).
- •Demonstrated ability to design for performance, scalability, and robustness.
- •Strong product thinking with ability to research problems deeply and influence product direction.
