TL;DR
Lead automation and industrialization for scaled production of defense systems.
- •Harmattan AI is seeking a Senior Automation & Industrialisation Director to translate engineering designs and volume requirements into robust, scalable, and increasingly automated production systems.
- •This role will strengthen the company's industrialisation capability and technical maturity to scale production volumes and international manufacturing.
- •Key Responsibilities Own the Automation & Industrialisation roadmap, including industrialisation of new products.
- •Drive DFM/DFA and Design for Automation with Engineering.
- •Define production process and line architecture, including workstations and automated systems.
- •Oversee automation concepts, specifications, supplier selection, commissioning, and ramp-up.
- •Optimize cycle-time, capacity, yield, and labour-content.
- •Requirements 15-20+ years of relevant industrial experience, ideally in aerospace, defence, or advanced electronics.
- •Hands-on experience with semi-automated and automated assembly systems, PLC-controlled equipment (Siemens preferred), and industrial tooling.
- •Solid understanding of DFM/DFA, PFMEA, and lean manufacturing principles.
- •Adaptability and willingness to travel and work flexible schedules.
- •Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
