Own the OpenTelemetry experience in Grafana Cloud, from instrumentation to actionable telemetry.
- •Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Product Manager to own the end-to-end journey for OpenTelemetry data ingestion into Grafana Cloud.
- •This role focuses on making Grafana Cloud the easiest and most trusted destination for OpenTelemetry workloads, reducing complexity and uncertainty for users.
- •Key Responsibilities Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the OpenTelemetry experience in Grafana Cloud.
- •Create coherent and opinionated experiences for SDK instrumentation, automatic instrumentation, and Collector deployment.
- •Identify and eliminate common causes of setup failure and low-quality telemetry.
- •Establish shared principles, priorities, and success criteria across product and engineering teams.
- •Partner with downstream Grafana Cloud solution teams to ensure a seamless transition from telemetry ingestion to product activation.
- •Requirements 5+ years of Product Management experience in developer tools, observability, or similar technical domains.
- •Strong working knowledge of OpenTelemetry, including SDKs, OTLP, and Collectors.
- •Experience leading strategy and execution across multiple engineering teams.
- •Ability to turn complex workflows into clear and approachable product experiences.
- •Excellent written and verbal communication skills for a remote, globally distributed organization.
