Staff Product Manager for OpenTelemetry to enhance Grafana Cloud's instrumentation experience.
- •Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Product Manager for OpenTelemetry to own the end-to-end journey of instrumenting workloads and sending OpenTelemetry data to Grafana Cloud.
- •The goal is to make Grafana Cloud the easiest and most trusted destination for OpenTelemetry workloads.
- •Key Responsibilities Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the OpenTelemetry experience in Grafana Cloud.
- •Create coherent and approachable product experiences for instrumentation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- •Identify and eliminate causes of setup failure, abandonment, and low-quality telemetry.
- •Partner with downstream Grafana Cloud solution teams to ensure a seamless transition from telemetry ingestion to product activation.
- •Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Developer Relations, and go-to-market teams to deliver and communicate a differentiated OpenTelemetry experience.
- •Requirements 5+ years of Product Management experience in developer tools, observability, or similar technical domains.
- •Strong working knowledge of OpenTelemetry, including SDK instrumentation, OTLP, and Collector pipelines.
- •Experience using or building instrumentation systems, agents, or telemetry collectors.
- •Ability to lead strategy and execution across multiple engineering teams without direct authority.
- •Excellent communication skills for a remote, globally distributed organization.
