- •Giga Energy is building gigawatts of AI data centers and is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support the commissioning, startup, and post-installation service of their transformer product line.
- •This role is crucial for scaling Giga's infrastructure to meet the demands of utility, industrial, and hyperscale data center deployments.
- •Key Responsibilities Perform on-site installation oversight, startup, and commissioning of power and distribution transformers.
- •Conduct acceptance testing and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
- •Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment, including On-Load Tap Changer mechanisms and cooling systems.
- •Document test results and produce customer-ready technical reports.
- •Respond to emergency service calls and serve as the primary on-site technical representative.
- •Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience. 2+ years of hands-on field experience with power/distribution transformers or related power delivery equipment.
- •Working knowledge of transformer testing procedures and ability to interpret electrical schematics.
- •Willingness and ability to travel 50–75%.
