Lead AI product development and engineering for Float Intelligence, owning the roadmap and technical execution.
- •Float is seeking a Founding Lead to own and accelerate Float Intelligence end-to-end, encompassing technical foundations, data, and product experiences.
- •This role involves leading a fast-moving team of product and data/ML engineers to bring agentic AI finance to Canadian businesses.
- •Key Responsibilities Lead, grow, and develop a team of product engineers and data/ML engineers.
- •Own the roadmap for Float's AI experiences, proposing new initiatives and making technical decisions.
- •Take AI products from concept to scale, managing technical aspects like model choice, evaluation, and infrastructure.
- •Build shared platform layers for AI capabilities and equip internal teams with AI models and engines.
- •Partner with product managers to ensure successful product launches and clear ownership.
- •Requirements 7+ years in software engineering, with senior/staff level experience at a strong engineering culture company. 2+ years managing engineers, ideally with diverse specializations.
- •Hands-on experience building and shipping AI or LLM-backed products to real users.
- •Past experience building 0-to-1 products or founding a software business.
- •Deep understanding of production AI systems, including evaluation, infrastructure, latency, and inference cost management.
